It's certainly not often we shoot a family member's wedding (Chase is Sean's first cousin), but this was an opportunity we could not pass up. Not to mention Sean has a really hard time sitting still when attending a wedding at a guest and keeping his criticisms of the photographer to himself. Might as well put him to work.
And thus we trekked up to Minnesota. A large chunk of his family lives up there so to say it was a mini family reunion is putting it lightly. It was an amazing chance to see the grandparents Sean hasn't seen in forever and Molly never has, and it's certainly is a unique experience shooting a wedding where you're related to almost everyone there! Chase's grandparents? Yep, those are Sean's, too. A big shoutout to Sean's brother's girlfriend who was able to take the HUGE group photo so we could be in it.
We started off at the Mr. & Mrs.' beautiful home in Dassel before heading up to the winery in Kimball. We absolutely loved the extra wedding ring that Chase and Sean had for their little girl. Speaking of little girl. So. Many. Cute. Kids. So. Little. Time. Pay no attention to the children playing in the background of the family formals. There could not be contained. And not going to lie; It took us almost half the day to notice the red, white, and blue bridal party dress theme for July 4th. Yeah, we're observant. Also, we battled with some weather. It didn't rain and it wasn't too hot, but man that sun could not make up its mind if it wanted to come out. You'd get the bridal party set up for a shot and... nope... the lighting completely changed! But hey, it cleared up late in the evening and we were able to take some killer shots as the sun went down.
Chase, we wish you two all the best and we know you picked a winner in Sean because he spells his name correctly.
