Surprise! This was supposed to be our New Years Eve wedding for 2016. As you can probably tell from the photos (and the date) that didn’t happen. Imagine my surprise when I get a message from Autumn asking me if I’m available for her new wedding date because, well, she’s expecting. I’ve known Autumn for over ten years (she did do Molly’s hair and makeup for our own wedding), so it was certainly a double whammy. Luckily this was going to be framed as somewhat of an elopement; a flashmob wedding at the famous LOVE statue created by Robert Indiana, on display at the Indianapolis Museum Of Art. And yes, this is the real deal original sculpture, not a copy like the ones in New York and Philadelphia. It all came together splendidly, and it was my first sans-assistant solo wedding since 2009! Molly was out of town for a Spartan Race and it was too short notice to call up anyone.
Autumn & Nic, thank you so much for the opportunity to spend a few special hours with you on a warm, sunny August day. And thanks for being one of our very rare pregnant brides. And that dress! Good heavens! Anyway, we wish you two and your new family the absolute best. Duh.
