As a woman who has never experienced this firsthand, I didn't realize how much I would absolutely adore this experience. Finding out the gender of your baby, whether you'll be buying bows or Tonka trucks, is such an exciting time.
Katie and Nathan had been waiting patiently to find out what their next bundle of joy would be. Big brother, Logan, on the other hand, had been waiting a little less patiently. As we sat in anticipation of the news, I asked him if he thought he would have a little brother or a little sister. After some deep thought, Logan finally settled on the fact that he *knew* he would have a little sister, while everyone else was pretty set on another boy. At first, the little one was stubborn and there was some fear that we wouldn't find out that day, but Ms. Natalie let everyone know what we had all gathered to find out. Logan was right and couldn't be happier to be a "Big Bro" to a new little sister!
I hope to do more sessions like this in the future. It's a beautiful time for families and something fun to look back on with your children in the future.
