Ashley! Another way-back-when student from the music store days. She took guitar lessons for years and we always got along very well and talked a lot. So it was most certainly a huge honor to be able to work with her on this photo set. We hit the road heading off to Lizton to shoot at this abandoned gas station I had heard great things about. It was pretty neat, with a cool blue geometric wall... but what really caught my attention was the gorgeous spring light hitting the golden fields on the other side of the road. Matched with Ashley's hair, it was quite the dreamy light! Afterwards we trekked down to Danville and took some pics at a park with a really neat suspension bridge, then we headed back to brownsburg for some off-camera flash and strobist work; first in some random parking lot, and then in downtown Brownsburg with some nice, grungy alley. Ashley's passion had been ice skating, so we were sure to incorporate the tools of her craft.
